President's Council
The President's Council is a community of people who are dedicated to making sure the Ruzizi Project can continue to grow.
Each of the people in this group is committed to giving Working Villages $1000 per year, either out of their own pocket
or through fundraising. The Ruzizi Project will cost an estimated $2 million over ten years, at the end of which there
will be a self-sufficient village with full employment that will never need another dollar of outside investment.
The amount of money needed to build this village is extremely small compared to the vast quantities of money that are
routinely spent on African crisis management. The individuals in the President's Council are people who understand that
WVI's model is sub-Saharan Africa's best hope for peaceful development, and are committed to creating sustainable and
permanent change in the region and the world.
